After expanding the Hex and bringing more people into Westview at the end of the last episode, Wanda is starting to fall apart as her grief comes to the surface. The items around her house begin shifting between old-fashioned and new objects, including the video game the Tommy and Billy are playing. When they ask her what is wrong, she is unable to hide her pain from her children. Just as she is in the midst of a breakdown, Agnes conveniently pops by and takes the boys off her hands so that Wanda can enjoy a “me day.”
Meanwhile, Vision finds Darcy in the new section of the Hex and restores her consciousness. Darcy catches him up on his life and subsequent deaths before the Hex, and Vision finally understands how much Wanda has been silently suffering. He flies off to find Wanda and help her, leaving Darcy in a van to catch up with him later.
Uncovering the Truth
Jimmy and Monica continue investigating S.W.O.R.D. and make a discovery about Director Haywood. He has been trying to bring Vision back to life since before Wanda broke in and stole his body. Haywood is focused on getting his asset back at any cost. They meet up with Monica’s contact, a friend in the U.S. Air Force, who has brought along a space rover for Monica to use to enter the Hex. However, the space rover is ineffective, and Monica chooses to run straight into the Hex without protection. This choice changes her on a molecular level, and comic fans know that her transformation signals the beginning of her superhero alter ego, Photon.
Wanda is angry that Monica has found her way back into the Hex and throws her outside. Their altercation catches the attention of all the neighbors, including Agatha, who pulls Wanda away to her house. The twins are nowhere to be found, and while looking for the Wanda discovers that the basement is filled with vines and glowing objects. Agnes appears and reveals herself as Agatha Harkness, saying “ “Wanda, Wanda … you didn’t think you were the only magical girl in town, did you?” then places Wanda under a spell – the true villain was Agatha all along.
Like Agatha are there hidden forces around us that keep us from being happy? We can examine our lives to see what we are missing. We can also ask those close to us to see, what issues they see.

Therapy With a Cinematic Approach
Movies have a way of capturing emotions, experiences, and struggles that can be hard to put into words. At Calming Transformations Counseling, our therapists understand how these challenges can affect your emotional and mental well-being. We use cinema therapy to help clients connect with stories that mirror their journeys, offering fresh perspectives and deeper self-understanding. By exploring characters, themes, and emotions on screen, we create a space for reflection, healing, and personal growth—because sometimes, the right film can say what you’ve been feeling all along.
